- Stationmasters provide Panoramic photos provide a visual reminder of what the neighborhood looks like near each Metro station, and links to the businesses near a station. Visitors can also find hotels and other points of interest near Metrorail stations.
- Get a guaranteed ride home from Commuter Connections. If you are a regular commuter, and you qualify, you can get a ride home from work, should an emergency come up. They also have info on alternative means of commuting, such as carpools, vanpools, bicycling, and telecommuting.

Authority (WMATA) An endlessly good resource. Contains metro maps, bus schedules, and information on neighborhoods.
- Washington D.C. Transit More than you EVER wanted to know about the Metrorail system. Includes pictures and descriptions of every single station, as well as interesting trivia. E.g. Wheaton has the longest escalator in the system at 230 feet. Portland has DC beat for the longest in the Western hemisphere, by about 30 feet.
- SmarTraveler - Washington, DC monitors traffic tangles and public transit delays. The site seems to have some kinks at the moment.
